 Good Sunday morning!

Another week, another dollar...almost....

Since we were in Denton for the Blizzard of 2009, this is our first major storm this winter season. I ended up coming home at noon on Thursday, getting groceries on the way home and filling up the car..and have not left since. We still have about 5 inches of snow/ice on the ground. I think the roads are ok now, just have not driven or walked down the driveway  to see. I do have to go into work in the morning, so I hope I can back out...

I have probably gained about 10 pounds..I have cooked and baked for the first time in about 5 years! Chili, meatloaf, cookies, cakes and today turkey breast...sigh....

I have to get out and get some work done today. Well, I did a tiny bit of paint poured yesterday, but am waiting for glass to get here on Tuesday. Today I need to pour some bisque and will drag myself up there in a bit...We have a heater going in that building but it is still very cold.

We still are fostering "Bubba", the little kitty that belongs to the little boy that was in a car accident and his mother died. Likely the family that is taking him will not be able to take the cat, to another member of his family is looking for a new home for Bubba. He has been staying with William in his room and now will not go to anyone BUT William. We opened up the door last night to let him have the run of the house and allow the cats to become acquainted, but Bubba just ran under our bed and would not go to anyone but William.

Well, I better get moving...lots to do and now little time, as I have spent 3 days not doing much of anything!

How in world can you only pick 6 out of those...But it will be interesting to see how you see yourself as compared to others...:)

This is a snow day for me, as was 1/2 of yesterday. Trees are iced over and there is a thin wall of snow falling. I would guess about an 1 1/2 inch of ice/sleet/snow on the ground at the moment. Roads are definitely icky and icy re: news program. Since Western is not a snow route, I would venture to say it is not in good shape. Not too mention IF we got out, we couldn't get back in. We found that out after Christmas...even the smallest incline makes getting up the driveway impossible on ice.

Anyway, mixing paint is on tap for me today. Can't pour, have to wait for bottles to get here. Then back here, do some cleaning and then snuggle down for the evening. Started a new cross-stitch, so will continue on that.If I had space I would start a new puzzle I found, but alas. no place at the moment. Still searching for an affordable decent mat cutter, so if anyone see's one as they wander around life...let me know!

 Another weekend

This won't be a real hectic busy weekend, but I do have things that have to be done and MANY more things that should be done. First thing will be pulling a few orders, then back to the house and try and get some laundry done. and maybe get some cleaning done in the garage.

It has been an emotional week...spent most of it working with parents trying to get their babies out of Haiti, or trying to get a pliot and plane INTO Hait to take people and supplies. As of this am he is still waiing for a time slot to fly into the airport there and he has been trying for a week. Hopefully now that they have a tower set up now it will help the congestion.

And I am still waiting on good ideas with what to do with framing mats!! Or for someone to find a cheap good mat cutter for me! LOL!

Also need to finish off another cross-stitch project and start another this weekend...I found two more that all they need is the back stitch...I SHOULD finish those..but probably won't....

 JCHON - Point Me In The Right Direction

You directed me to a site once to get the spelling download. I had it on my other computer, the mother board fried, but all the data was saved, I just can't open any programs that are on there.

I am writing everything in MS Word, which can no longer be sold, only supported, because my spell check works there.

What is very strange, at almost all the sites I visit that have written input, have a built in spellcheck I guess, because when I make an error, it underlines it in red and offers alternative spellings.

So, please push me to the spelling upoad site.

It appears that these nasty, unwanted posts to the family site are a problem for some . . .

Does it matter if you attach a single word that can be answered by everyone that is easy to read? Or, can the robot things get past that easily? Maybe a new, easy to read changeover once a month or something? Surely if pointed to the correct part of the code, either Chris or I can make that change. All that has to be done in the code, or at least the one I have been using, is substitute the new word as a replacement for the existing.

I am probably way off base here, but, its worth an try.

I just kept asking for a new set I could read, then post . . . still get a few SPAM cancellations, but I have learned to "copy and paste" to protect myself. (That has worked over to my "real life" as when writing an email message, and if it one of my "books", I try to remember to regularly do it. I miss more than I catch I think, but I am getting better.)

As for the recipient of my "books", if it happens to me twice in the same email, I don't care what I thought was so important, if I don't have a significant paste ready, the third one never goes out.

Ignorance is bliss, with a deployment in the near future, Shelly and I have agreed to be in constant state of bliss so that neither of us worry about the other while I'm gone.

  Dear Stinkin Army

I really wish the Army would quit training Spc. Owens as a driver on all the vehicle.  And just because he is a big guy does not mean you have to train him on all the big guns.  He is a lab tech, he is supoosed to be safely sitting in the lab looking at blood and all that good stuff.  Not driving LMTV and manning a 50 cal.
