I do not say a proverb is amiss when aptly and reasonably applied, but to be forever discharging them, right or wrong, hit or
miss, renders conversation insipid and vulgar.

maybe..just maybe...

Make this site your homepage...then maybe you would be more incline to put in a little update? Nothing says this blog has to have long ramblings about our activities..maybe just a quick note about what the kids are going doing, any fun stuff..mad stuff..:)
Michelle, a great way to give Anthony a daily snapshot of your day! But it is easier if it is your homepage, cuz then you can just quickly write something and move on...
Just a thought!
(lovin' this no security thing!!! THANK YOU JCHON!!)

I know, I know...we asked for it in the first place...that's not the point...LOL!
I just got back from Office Depot, Home Depot (whats a weekend without a trip to Home Depot?), Sherwin Williams and Sams...AND met the brother of the lady who died last week and picked up her kitty cat to 'foster' until they figure out where her little boy is going to go. Very sad situation. He will undergo surgery this Wednesday to have his C-1 and C-2 fused and then from there it is just a matter of healing..just...but without his mom...
In the meantime, we got two pretty good sized orders from Mexico and we are working all this weekend getting it put together. steve and crew are helping alot with bottling!
Dad is not feeling well tonight..is back in bed (very unusual for him in the evening) covered with about 9 comforters...poor guy.
Thank you Jchon for putting up with us...we really do appreciate you! Really really!!

Try #2 I'm concerned...
Friday, January 08, 2010
that all of this is causing more division than connection, which is the point of this site to begin with. So, let me say these things:
1. The problem with posting on this blog has nothing to do with facebook or Twitter. It's a matter of us not MAKING the time to post. I'm more guilty of it than anyone, so I feel free to call myself out. Facebook is a social networking site, it's meant for us to post small things and comment on daily events happening in ours and others' lives. It's not meant for blogging. Twitter is a bit different, and it is a micro-blog. It's meant for 2 second mini-posts to keep everyone updated on the little things going on during the day. I generally post on Twitter during the day because it's fast and easy. That's no excuse for not updating here.
2. The Ning site is a great site for some things. I have created several, and belong to others. I have nothing against the Ning. However, it's not nearly as personal as this site is. As Dad said, this site has personality.
3. Picture posting seems to be a problem that may not be fixed. Perhaps there is a way to link pictures to the Ning site and upload them there but see them here too?
4. The busier we are the more we SHOULD post, as that is what makes up our history. Again...we just need to make/re-new the committment to do it. We are one of the few families I know that even has this opportunity. Let's take advantage.
That may be rambling and may not say exactly what I want, but I have to admit, I'm also in the middle of writing two grants and four portfolio entries, so my mind is a bit scattered. :D However, it gets some of my points across.

try #2
Friday, January 08, 2010
with the understanding that every question I ask could result in work for Jchon...here we go..
1. lets get rid of the image thing below...I understand why it was added, but it isn't worth is and that was the start of people not posting as often.
2. Can we do away with the 'logins' when you want to post on your own page or add pictures or add an event?
3. is there a way to make posting pictures "mom" easy? (that may be too much..if so, I'll just continue to let someone else do it and fuss at someone for not...)
There is no point in having two sites...so I would think just tweeking this one is going to be the better option??

What a MESS

That may be the most incoherent posting made to this list (excluding mom when she has had many too many).
But, you should get the message, if you can waddle through all the double, duplicate and downright stupid remarks.

Unless I have my conferences mixed up

Cincinnati is in close proximity to all the Big 10 teams, it would put 12 teams into the conference, thus making a North/South Championship game inevitable, and stop the conference (Big 10/11) from squeezing teams into BCS bowls because they have fewer games to play and never an end of the year clash, typically titan vs. titan, prior to BCS match-ups as all the other major conferences have. Give me a break.
It was no surprise when Cincinnati turned the opportunity down.
The financial reasons are overwhelming. BCS bowls pay a TON of money to the participating conferences, equally split among all conference schools, again, not completely sure about the equal split. Win or lose, they get BIG mone. So, they would rather sneak in to collect the money by running over teams that should really be Class 1AA, rather than play in a conference where they can "really" earn a berth.
If you want to play with the BIG dogs, how about playing some of them in your otherwise powder puff schedule. You’ve got good, open dates. Use them.
