For those who have no clue about my lasy 8 months.

Sunday, August 01, 2010

I am going to lay it all out for all to know why my attitude it not right  towards other family member right now. so here goes.

November 2nd of 2009 I severed my spine and was parshelly parralized for 38 days. During this time I had multiply seasures if my spine that put me in more pain and more scared than I have ever been in my life. I thought my life was over. I also found what a true wife and best friend are to me(Simone the wife and Kevin Holt the best friend). On 9 Decmber 2009 I went in for full spine fusal surgery. I had 4 blown disks and 3 ruputures vertibre. They implanted 18 inches of metal into my back and fused the lower section. I did regain my fealing but lost 60% of my mobility and lost all my core muscles due to this surgery. My life changed forever. After returning to work for the Army after 5 months of being mested up bad I started a new job with the Warrior Transition Unit of FT Carson. During this time I was helping to save a fellow soldier life who attempted to commite suicide by jumping off the 3rd floor. In doing so I put myself back in the Hospiltal for tearing 3 muscles in my lower back. In June of 2010 after 4 years in braces I had realignment jaw surgery. While leaving the hospital I was hit in the face by a door and broke my jaw in 16 spots and now have 4 plates and 18 screws holding my lower face together. I had not eaten solid food in over 7 weeks but heard of Dads issues and rushed to clear as much time as possible to help my father and his situation. With still having issues in my back and having lost over 17 pounds and not eating for 3 straight days I got in my truck with family and friends in tow. Now this is what you do for your parents and family in times of need. You stop your life and go to there side to help fix any and all things possible. I believe I did this with no regrets at all and would do it again in a heart beat. My life has been a living night mear for along time since my injury but nothing will stop me from helping my family and friends when in need, as should all other family members. Now you may say me have money issues or what every, just remember when I was flat on my back Simone and William were taking care of me(or watching so I didn't do something to rebrake my spine) and did not work for a long time so money was lost but I was still there for my parent.

Wiliam if Simone and I have not said so thank you for your help. It made it possible for Simone to return to work and help with our money issues. I would also like to thank Simone who until then I did not know what a true partner for life was. Any partner who will sit there and watch there loved one cry in pain during one of my secures on the floor in the middle of there house and not flinch, put there life on hold as well as there childs to help in the recovery of there loved on is by far a life long partner. Kevin, bro my friend for life. You man stopped also your life to help Simone with my issues. When things needed done you were there and still are there for her and me. You are also a wounded in Combat Vet who puts his person medical issues aside to help my family in any way possible. for this my friend I thank you.

So for all the family member who say there life is hard try to ive mine for the past 8 months and many more to come. I will be leaving for Korea in 10 months and will be away for a year. So while you all are sleeping in your houses with your loved ones next to you. Just remeber that 2 people in this family(Anthony and I) do not get to have that. So step up and do all you can for your family. I have lost a parent and it sucks something bad let me tell you. You look back at all you did and did not do for them during the time on this eather. I will never wake up cring again because I could have done more. Now you all know where I am coming from so let it be known I do not care what I say to whom or how it will make you feel. If the shoe fits wear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dad and Mom for being there for both Simone and I in our time of need as we will always be there for you, just ask and we will do our best to fix anything we can.

P.S. orry for my miss spelled word or wrong grammer.

Dad,

as stated in my post you are the only one who had the right to delete my message. If you read it I left family member out of country alone. I know everyone does there own stuff for you and mom but the whole lets just let god do his thing is not in my mind anymore nore has it ever been. Simone and I act on every situation. I have a skill at fixing problems and leading as I did over the time I was able to clear for you. I just hate to see we did this and that and had so much fun when the rest of us all were busting our butts to fix your home stiuation so you came into a better place when you were released. I wrote what I did because I am an action maker not a poster of well wishes. I also would like to say Christie was gone with work and was not able to make it but in the future needs to do alittle more till I am able to retire and return to Oklahoma so the home front will be taken care of. The talk we had was great. I felt that as the eldest son still in contact with the family I had to be there talking of plans and opening up to what Simone and I have planned once I retire. I was also able to tell of my work and projects that we being done to help with you and mom at home. I only wish I did not have to return so soon. There were alot of things I still needed to do but my doctors appts have me tied up 3 days aweek so I had to leave. Just remember I am only a phone call away and if I can help to fix something I WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. I only have one blood parent left and I will make my time with you the best it can be and make your time left on this eather the best I can help to make it also. Dottie was taken away from me very fast and with no notice at all. I will not look years later with you dad and regreat not doing more for you as you have done for me for so many years. Just remember you help make me who I am today so put a smile on your face knowing that.

 OOPPPSS>>> Michelle

Sunday, August 01, 2010

OUCH!!!! DINGY DAD forgot Michelle. Well, not forgot, just got wrapped up in everything else I didn't get to everyone.

Needless to say, with Michelle and family in Hawaii, her opportunities to help are not as often. But, while she has been here she has been very, very helpful.

In addition to Michelle, let's not forget all the work Les and Chris do for us from the Looman side of the Owens family.

 Frankie's Post

Sunday, August 01, 2010

I am the one who erased Frankie's post, and I don't think Facebook, Twitter, My Space or our own website should be the place to make such a post.

Frankie and Simone, please accept my undying appreciation for everything you and your friend did while you were here and more important, that you took the time to come. I know there were other things you could have been doing. The work you did took an enormous burden off my back, got mom the things she wanted done and made William feel very good about himself and his effort as well he should.

Jchon and Dawn help greatly and often, many times in ways not seen. In less than a day, Jchon was able to repair both my computers including the one that mom broke without knowing it, without which I would have lost so much critical financial data, not to mention all the other documents we never realize are even on our computers until we need them. Think of the $1,000.00's in computer programs we would prefer not to need to replace. Jchon and Dawn have also come up on many, less dramatic times.

William is always a major help here. William does things in William's way, but that does not make his efforts any less valuable.

Christie helps me constantly with things from legal explanations to help with computer programs and figuring out how to use them. That is in addition to the work she puts in up here at the house when we ask her to. (She also loans us cats when we need them most, NOT!!!!)

In short, religion aside, every person in this family helps in each and every different way, none more important than any other.

I am out of the hospital but have a very long way to go. We are awaiting the results from two very important tests. Tests that probably should have been done a long time ago and I think the professionals who have worked with me were very intense on dealing with the most obvious problems that others may have slipped by or they just appeared because of a change in medicine done in the past several weeks.

One of the reasons I went to Cedar Ridge was to get "new insight" into a number of the diagnoses in several areas and it was the best choice mom and I made. (Mostly mom, who is always checking to make certain I am getting the best of everything.)

Mom and I will be pretty tense for the next couple of weeks as we wait for information. Please don't anyone make it any more difficult.

By the way Frankie, I very much enjoyed your visit. Being alone with you and sharing as we did brought me much pleasure.

 What a weekend and update!

Saturday, July 24, 2010

We have a houseful this weekend and getting more and less done than we thought! Kevin came with Frankie and Simone and the 4 guys have done a number on the pile of wood and pile of gravel! YEA!!!!

Dad is very content with the new facility and the new Doctor he is seeing there. They are not giving him a time frame, just a "if you are out here in 6 days'...so likely at least until Thursday or so...but you cannot imagine how glad I am we got him moved and into a more healthy environment. He is already sounding better and more hopeful! Frankie visited him tonight, but I will go tomorrow night.

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Now THAT is an ocean...and a very cute little boy! They are going to have some wonderful memories from their stay in Hawaii. Who knows, you may never come back to the mainland...except that milk cost $6 a gallon...:)

We are still fussing trying to get Dad moved. What an absolute nightmare. I'll know more by noon what is happening. Poor Dad, he is helpless sitting in there and has to depend on me to do all his fighting for him. It is a miserable feeling for him, as if he wasn't already feeling miserable.

5 days until the primary! Exciting times in the world of Oklahoma politics! Michelle, Tony, Leo...count on hitting one watch party..Marys...I won't drag you around to any more, but that one will be a fun one...:)
