Quote of the Day
I do not say a proverb is amiss when aptly and reasonably applied, but to be forever discharging them, right or wrong, hit or
miss, renders conversation insipid and vulgar.

Time left before 2010 OKC Memorial Marathon:
Look at 'Nee...
| Tuesday, August 04, 2009 | Posting to both the family blog and to FB. :D You are such a good brother-in-law/Daddy. Tony and Leo just crack me up. What book did you tell Tony it was? | | | Posted by: Aunt___ (Christie) at 8:29:06 AM |

What Book!
| Monday, August 03, 2009 | We were at the beach, and I was trying to trick the boys into drinking more water so they would not get dehydrated. So I told him we would not go into the ocean until I saw him take a drink. As he took drinks, I would look up or off to the side to get him to drink more. After he drank half a bottle, I switched the game up by saying that he was spitting the water back into the bottle and that was, "the oldest trick in the book!" To which Tony exclaims, " What Book! I have never even read that book!" | | | Posted by: Nee at 1:18:44 AM |

Grandma would have been proud!
| Monday, August 03, 2009 | After a long and exhausting day, I was talking to the boys, on one of my usual rants, and I ended it by saying, "that doesn't make no sense!" To which, almost instantly, Leo says, "any sense?" At the time, I was not in the mood to be corrected, but he was correct in making the on the spot correction, so I had to take bite my tongue and say, " Yes Leo, any sense, good job!" I guess all of shelly's hard work is paying off. | | | Posted by: Nee at 1:09:17 AM |

Good heavens..not even close
| Wednesday, July 29, 2009 | #3 is the only option here...and there were more witnesses than just me!! No point putting this on a poll as #3 would get 100%
That being said...we do need a new poll...maybe...how many miles will Christie travel NEXT summer ...or how many pictures will Christie and/or Dawn take and NOT post...or...how many times in one month does Mom have to beg people to post on the blurb...or how many papers will Dad shred in the second 1/2 of 2009...or how many pieces of paper will reproduce in Dads office in the last 1/2 of 2009? | | | Posted by: Mom____ at 10:20:15 PM |

Not Sure Which Is Funnier
| Wednesday, July 29, 2009 | I was just reading an article on Jessica Simpson, I have not idea why.
I think this should be a poll. We need new one since the old one is, well, old.
Whic? is funnier:
1) Jessica Simpson seriously asking if the can in her hand was fish or chicken. It was a can of tuna but the brand name was "Chicken of the Sea".
2) Frankie, upon entering the 13525 property for the first time after we bought it wanting to know if the outhouse was "connected"? (Yes we have an "operating" outhouse.
3) Me, at about the same time, while getting stuff out of a trailer that probably weighed ,1,000#, give or take, hanging on for dear life yelling at trailer, "STOP, dang-it, STOP!!!" (Not quite the same word, but you get the idea.)It was, ironically that outhouse that stopped the trailer from going into what was then a full pond. Mom, rather than helping, was rolling all over the place laughing!)
4) PAYBACK!!! Mom asking, again quite seriously, "Did both the North and South have airplanes in the Civil War, or was it just the North?
See what I mean? A GREAT poll.

maybe...
| Tuesday, July 28, 2009 | Frankie, after researching (he and Dad) the origins of his post below, wanted Jchon to delete it as it is a urban myth. However, as untrue as many of the facts are (and there are several mis-nomers) such as dates etc. (I think this was actually written 2 or 3 years ago), the underlying message is very much valid and we should all take it to heart.
Support and honor those who sign that contract and promise to give their all for your right to live a life of liberty, free of government control, free to make a living as you choose, free to speak as you desire, educate your children as you would choose, etc. etc. This country has some serious, very serious leadership issues we need to get past in the next few years, but I believe we will eventually turn that corner and go back to what our founding fathers invisioned so many years ago.
We ALL owe a debt of gratitude to those in the past and those that are serving now for their sacrifce and their families support and dedication to our country. | | | Posted by: Mom___ at 9:59:07 AM |

Thank you
| Sunday, July 26, 2009 | for all the birthday greetings, I had my best birthday ever! We started the day off, with an omlette at the Koa Pancake house, a yummy breakfast place in Wahiawa, then we went to some collectible shops to look around and get some birthday goodies, then we went to Dave and Busters to play some games
. After that we saw G-force at our favorite theatre in Pearl City, and last but not least, we had a wonderful steak dinner at a steakhouse that reminded me of oklahoma, it had cowboys all over the walls, for a couple of hours, I felt like I was back home.
We were out all day, and it went really fast because we were having so much fun! It isn't very often you get to spend the whole day with your best friends, thank you shelly and boys! | | | Posted by: Nee at 10:47:39 PM |

Good heavens..
| Sunday, July 26, 2009 | Happy Birthday Anthony!! I didn't forget really! I mean, I would have except there were pop up reminders everywhere, but none the less, I forgot to post!!! I know your wife and children made sure your day was a special one, and I hope you enjoyed every moment (though I am sure your were weeping inside becasue your mother--in-law failed to send her greeting!
I am now sitting drinking my coffee and catching up on news before starting my day. Jchon remarked on FB yesterday he had discovered he had become his mom..as he was drinking his mornining coffee and catching up on news prior to getting his day going. On a Sunday morning, I would bet that routine is quite different. Getting 3 boys ready for church is quite an orderal! LOL! An much earlier start to the day would be required.
I remember getting up on a Sunday morning and the effort it took to get all six of you up, breakfast and dressed in you Sunday clothes, all in time to be there EARLY to get the donuts cooked for the church crowd and/or pick them up prior to the time we made them. Not exactly peaceful and relaxing! Those were the days! | | | Posted by: Mom___ at 7:50:03 AM |
