 A Happy Birthday

to Jchon! Within a few minutes this time 29 years ago..I was holding a newborn Jchon in my arms! 11:29 am, Jchon came into the world. Being a military Hospital..they let me hold him for a brief period and then rushed him off to the nursery. They never did bring him to the my room. I had to walk down to the nursery and present my arm band and they would go get him.

Then there is the infamous name issue. They came to ask what we were naming him and I told them Jchon (which of course created it's own set of issues)Michael Paradise. I thought that is what Dad had said. Who knew?....I never got to name any of you guys. So, when I got home with the certificate, Dad was alittle baffled. He immediately called the hospital and the county as I recall and got the proper name put on the records.

I was sent home the next day and life went directly to the restaurant and back to work. Jchon slept in a crib in the waitress station area and I would often be holding him as I served patrons. I can remember very well holding a crying Jchon while scrambling eggs and frying bacon for an order. Makes me tired to think of it now. Frankie and John were with Dottie for a couple of months, but we had Christie with us. We tried putting her in a daycare, but she had such temper tantrums we pulled her out. So...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JCHON! We are very proud of you and the man you have become! (in spite of us!

Simone just called and after a very long day, they are safely home!

A Happy New Years to all and I will post more later, after I get some stuff (alot) put in the dumpster!

I sent an email to John and Celeste, but due to computer malfunction (Dad sat on mine)I am using Dad's laptop and was having trouble sending.

Kids are here safe and sound, sleeping right now, but I am sure we will have a full couple of days ahead of us. We take them back Sunday evening.

I finally talked to the kids. Monica says she has been "busy" and just didn't have the chance to return any of my calls. Anyway, they are home, and fine. Thanks!

I cannot speak for where Monica and the kids are, but we are scheduled to pick them up Thursday night and have them through Sunday night. We have heard nothing to the contrary. Best I can do.

I am concerned....I have called Brianna and the boys for the past 4 days, but haven't gotten an answer. Does anyone know where Monica is, or have they heard from my little ones? I am growing quite concerned. John
