 Deviled eggs

did get made.  I don't know what happened with my back.  I woke up one morning, went down stairs to make oatmeal for breakfast, as I took the bowl out of the microwave my back seized up. I tried resting for the morning but it just got worse and worse as the day went on.  So that afternoon I went to the Acute care clinic and the gave me a couple of bottles of pills and to stay on bed rest for 2 days.  After 5 days it still wasn't better so I went back.  They gave me more pills and told me to stay in bed for another 3 days.  I was finally able to get around a little on Thanksgiving.  With Anthony's help we were able to make A 16lb turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, ham, rolls, pumpkin pie, and of course, the deviled eggs.  The doctors had no idea what happened either.

Michelle, I am glad you are up and around again, but you need to provide details! How did you hurt your back so badly? And more importantly..MOST importantly, did the deviled eggs get made? <sigh> details, details...

 Thanksgiving

was great.  After 8 days on bed rest I was able to get up and around enough to cook.  Anthony helped me carry everything.  We missed everyone.  I just got your phone message today Mom.  Our phones do not work well here at all.  The boys say hello to everyone and that they love you all. 

Mom, could you get me info on the space camp that Gwen and Vincent go to.  We want to look into it for Tony.

Thanksgiving reports please...Michelle and Anthony, especially you guys since you had one on  the injured list! Did you get the deviled eggs made?* Did you do any "Black Friday" shopping, pushing your way through the front doors of someplace at o'dark thirty in the morning?

We had a very nice Thanksgiving in Denton with LOTS of people and LOTS and LOTS of food. The kids had a ton of fun with cousins they had never met and had discussions of why and how they were cousins. Of course then we had to explain "extended family" "first, second, third, removed" cousins...none of which I really understand anyway. Bottom line, everyone's family so who cares.

William came up home early this morning as he was worried that he may have locked FixIt outside when he left to come down on Thursday morning. Dad and I and the kids left about 10 or so. After 4 or 5 stops for errands once in Edmond, the kids were glad to be out of the car!

Tomorrow it is back to real life and pouring, capping and labeling paint and laundry and dishes. Dad is going to try to get the pouring room cleaned up and the slip running in the slip machine again so he can start pouring.

Of course tomorrow night is "THE" game...I think, as last week, we will hold off watching until we know which way the game is going.:).

B, V and J will spend the morning playing the Wii and/or "exploring" the yard. They appear to have found new hiding places and have asked if they can expand their search area. We will take them back home to Ben on Sunday. He gets two days of 'kid free' zone since Monica is still in Kentucky.

It has been a great start to the holiday season and I can tell you that the Christmas season has officially started as I just heard my first BC Clark jingle for 2008!

 disaster averted: I almost had to cancel Thanksgiving!

Since we are out here by ourselves, and the only one who can cook in on the injured reserved list, we decided to tone down Thanksgiving to the basics.  We made a short list of stuff I couldnt live without.   The whole time, I kept feeling like I was missing something big. 

Finally it hit me, deviled eggs, or as leo likes to call them, devils eggs!  My revelation came after the commisary was closed.  So, I did the only thing I could do.  I declared to shelly that if I could not have the devils eggs, then Thanksgiving would be canceled.  I know, I know, most of you are thinking, anthony is a big boy and could not possibly hold on to such an outlandish statement, but my intentions were good.  Luckily I married someone who is smarter than me, and she suggested trying the shoppette for the worchestershire sauce, the only thing we lacked to make said devils.

As I raced to the store, I tried to deem how far I would go to get said sauce.  I concluded, to the ends of the earth if I had to!  I had already planned on leaving the post, to the nearest  Walmart, and then further if I had to, our Walmarts are not Super Walmarts.  Luckily, it was at the shopette, and Thanksgiving was saved!

Wait a minute! Your "favorite" husband? Here I thought I was your ONLY husband. That'll teach me to keep better tabs on you.

Thank you for your birthday wishes. I could not have asked for more nor received any better person to spend a lifetime with. Thank you for all the years we have enjoyed and those we will plan for the future. Truth be told, planning the future with you is almost as good as sharing it with you. ALMOST I said.
