missed again!!!
| Thursday, December 31, 2009 | Up early and still not the first one to say happy birthday!! That's all right, we are still about 6 hours out from his birthday TIME!!
So tell us what you are doing today? I know that Dawn and the boys will have big plans for a big day or small plans for a special quiet day! Whichever, let us know!
This is 'start inventory' day for me. I will be dragging Simone and Blaize next door and begin the process. It really isn't bad at all, but as you might imagine the room is not the tidiest, I have not organized that room for several weeks now. Then after that is done, I have 2-3 orders to be pulled to be shipped out Monday. As a result of that, I will be pouring some paints as well.
We are not going to a show in Jan. so bisque is not a huge issue, though we are teaching a class in Houston the end of the month, so we have to get 15 each of 3 pieces poured.
I am not sure what we are doing for New Years Eve...Dad says we are going to burn the wood pile..Steve doesn't know how many people, if any are coming, so it will be a night of surprises! Hopefully all good ones! :)
Have a wonderful day Jchon! We are thinking about you!

Those boys
| Tuesday, December 29, 2009 | crack me up! I was rolling when Nee told me that story:) Although I am pretty sure it was one of the male phoroahs that had the Sphinx built it is nice to know that some of it sinks in.
We had a great Christmas although a quiet one. Nee will be going to NTC Feb. 15, which we are not looking forward to. He willbe gone untill April 5th. The boys and I will fly to Vegas around that time and we will have a vacation in Cali, Vegas, and Oklahoma before he deploys. If anyone wants to come let me know and I will get more specific dates as we figure them out. | | | Posted by: Michelle at 1:26:36 AM |

Conversations from the backseat revisited
| Thursday, December 24, 2009 | I really did not realize how much Michelle had been teaching them until I heard an awesome conversation from the backseat.
It all started with tony calling leo, "Leonardo DaVinci." Then some how the conversation turned into a contest between who was greater, Leonardo DaVinci, one of the worlds greatest minds, and, wait for it, Stan Lee, the creator of comic legends spiderman, fantastic four and much much more! At one point Leo exclaims " What so great about Leonardo DaVinci!" To which Tony looks disgusted and in a preteen kind of duh voice says, " He was a great painter, he painted the Mona Lisa!" Then, in a Paradise-like debate move, Leo retorts, " Thats it! Stan Lee created the Fantastic Four!" Which he says like, pow, i got you, that my arguement is so convincing that, that is all i have to say. ( and on a side note, some how he says fantastic funny, like "Thanfastic four!")
From there, they go back and forth with the kind of, Oh yeah, well I bet you dont know this or that conversation. One of my favorite parts when Leo goes back to ancient Egypt and correctly states who ordered the Sphinx to be built. To which, an Abbott and Costello routine almost erupts when Leo pronounces the word sphinx. He says, " Queen So and So, created the, then he says, Spinx" Then Tony corrects him and says sphinx. Leo replies, thats what I said, Spinx. That whole bit ran four or five times. I was amazed by how much they had retained and was almost crying from laughter at the same time! | | | Posted by: Nee at 2:20:37 PM |

Hey... I just posted!!!
| Monday, December 21, 2009 | So I resent that remark;-)...AND I even posted a pic of elijah. So there;-). Our holiday consists of me working a bunch;-) My "part time job" was 36 hours last week, and they have told me that after the new year they will make me the night manager. I will be in charge of the store (jointly with the day manager) for 5 days in feb when they go to the big toy convention in NYC. It is hard to be on my feet all night after being with the boys all day, but if you have to work, it is fun to work at such a wonderful toy store! The bosses are really sweet as are the other employees! And it really is kindof cool to help someone pick out the perfect gift and then have them come back to report how much that person loved it!! Jchon and I both have tomorrow off, so we will be taking the boys to go see santa. Then we both work wed and he works thur and we will be set for friday! As I have not even started (nor purchased fabric) for the jammies this year, they might end up being store bought...which coul turn out for the best since they might actually fit that way;-) And FYI for anyone wondering about christmas cards...if you are lucky, I might EMAIL something soon;-) It has just been really busy;-)
All is well here with the boys, though I think daniel is having the hardest time adjusting to me working. Every morning at breakfast he says "you dont have to go to work today, do you mommy?" Kind of breaks my heart;-). JJ will be starting preschool again after christmas thanks to my folks. And elijah is a big ol' six month old with 2 teeth!! i will try to post santa pics tomorrow.
That is our roud up here. Merry christmas to you all!
Love

just an update
| Saturday, December 19, 2009 | since no one posts anything here anymore INCLUDING DAD!!!! Just cuz no one else does doesn't mean Dad has to stop! I look foreward to his posts!
Anyway...this weekend I will be doing some paint stuff, packing few orders, hopefully cleaning a bit of the house and getting some laundry done. I still have 3.5 days of work left before my Christmas break, so work at home will be somewhat limited.
I do have all of Michelle and Anthonys gifts mailed! AND Frankie and Simones (and Williams)! That has to be a first that they will a: get them on time and b: get them at all!! I still have others to wrap, but all shopping is done.We were/are making some handmade items, but I think they will probably be Valentines Day gift twist with a Christmas look :) Thats ok..a gift, especially a handmade one is fun to do and hopefully fun to get at anytime of the year! (a little spiteful too...as you can't ever give it away...hehehhehe)
Tomorrow afternoon, Dad and I go to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Ford Center! I am very excited. It has been a long time since we have gone to a concert! And this week we are packing in TWO!! Christie, Brianna and Dad and I will attend the Mannheim Steamrollers on Tuesday night at the Civic Center! William was initially planning on going, but since he is up in Colorado, Brianna will go instead. Then Wednesday, Christie heads to Texas, we head down Thursday afternoon when I get off work.
We will come back home on Saturday after spending most of the day making honey cookies with JJ and Jchon. The rest of the week I am off and will be spend re-organizing the paint pouring room, laundry, making some room in the garage, pouring and cleaning bisque and getting Williams room ready for his return. As far as we know now, he will return after Jan. 1.
And, as far as we know, Steve and Ron Black are still planning on having a big bonfire here on New Years Eve along with guitars and multiple people...I think I just plan on having a large pot of hot chocolate for wimpy people who want to come inside and warm up (which means a much needed cleaning of the house...)
On the 28th, B, V and J are coming over for 3 days..so we will have to get the WII set up on the small tv, since it won't connect to the smaller one we are now using since our big one died. Or, maybe they will have enough stuff they got at Christmas to play with they won't need it.:) The boys sleep in Williams room and if Dad gets his office picked up some, Brianna could sleep in that room...(hint, hint)...that way those of us who stay up until 1 am won't disturb the sleep of children...
And for those of you who have not seen Brianna lately...WOW..she is getting SO grown up...it is like it happened over night! Even different from when Christie and I had her with us at the zoo! She is definitely a young lady now and has that "I am 13, but my head says I am 17 and I'm going to do my best to look like it" look. She is a beautiful girl! Her "boy" friend seems to be very nice and pretty grounded. I have not met him in person, but chat with him a couple times aweek on FB...I hope to have him over while they are hear for dinner or something (such as dinner is). They go to seperate high schools next year (don't choke..yes, she is going to high school next year!) so who knows if the relationship will last through that..probably not. They are not allowed to go on 'dates'...just group stuff or with parents.
Ok, I have caught you all up on what we are doing, in a nutshell...lets get everyone else to at least write a paragraph and tell us what your holiday is going to be and what your New Year plans are!! | | | Posted by: Mom___ at 9:25:33 AM |

ok..security thingy needs to go...
| Thursday, November 26, 2009 | It is driving everyone mad and maybe if it isn't there, people will post more here? It does get frustrating if you have to keep copy and pasting until you get it right. I know, we asked for it in the first place..don't get testy...
Cute ONE picture of Elijah...poor thing. Of course between Dawn and Christie there must be about 5,000 unposted pictures of Elijah alone, add in other children/people/events, there are probably 25,000 pictures unseen by any human being.
Dad and I had a very nice quiet day. It was perfect. We have enough food to last us until Christmas and I have pumpkin pie for breakfast through the weekend! Not sure what we are going to do the rest of the weekend, but it won't be much. We do need to put back inside the kiln room everything that was taken out, as it is going to rain on Sunday. We have enclosed the porch adding a great deal more room, plus the roof leaked and that has been repaired and the rotting wood around the roof has been replaced and of course the floor on the porch is now solid and not broken. Good stuff! Electric needs to be finished then we have almost a new building!
Happy Thanksgiving all for 2009...
And BC Clark has played their jingle, so I can officially wish you a Merry Christmas! | | | Posted by: Mom___ at 9:42:37 PM |
